Over the past ten years, the population of Harish has blossomed from a few hundred citizens to more than 40,000 residents. Located in one of the most vulnerable areas of the country, the events of the past year have made it abundantly clear that it is necessary to be vigilant and prepared to defend the unprotected, ever-growing population of Harish and the surrounding communities.
To that end, a group of volunteers, residents of Harish, created the Emergency Response Unit. Diligently chosen by the Harish Police, the unit undergoes vigorous training and complex training exercizes in order to be prepared for any eventualities and keep Harish safe.
The instances of extreme violence and danger that we could not have imagined in our darkest nightmares suddenly became a reality
Harish is located in an area surrounded by some of the most volatile areas in the country which leaves it vulnerable to security threats of the kind that we experienced in October.
As members of the Harish community, we see it as our duty to do what we can to protect our homes, families, and neighbors.
Through intensive training, we hone our logistical, tactical, and physical skills in order to be prepared for anything that may happen in our city. We are doing this on a completely voluntary basis. We are on call 24/7 in order to achieve one goal, which is to be the elite protectors of Harish and ensure the security of our friends and neighbors.

The emergency response unit is comprised of volunteers who have dedicated their time and efforts to protect the city of Harish, its citizens, and their families. In order to be prepared for any situation, threat, or emergency it is necessary to procure high-quality equipment: vehicles, communication devices, cameras, tacticcal and medical equipment as well as advanced training for the unit members. This long list comes with a significant cost, which can amount to over 1,000,000 NIS.
